From Spanish Harlem to dance floors around the world, DJ Carlos Ramos has built a career on blending cultures through music. Known as “The Latin Prince,” Carlos developed his sound by mixing Latin, reggae, samba, salsa, Afrobeat, disco, soul, jazz, and new wave long before global fusion became popular. He first gained attention at iconic New York venues like Sounds of Brazil (S.O.B.’s), where he played for diverse, international crowds seeking fresh and authentic sounds beyond Top 40 radio. His deep knowledge of Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, and African rhythms allowed him to move seamlessly across genres, creating energetic and soulful sets. Carlos later performed at respected clubs including Cafe Iguana, The Ritz, The Palladium, and others, while also working corporate events with major radio stations and record labels. Beyond DJing, he expanded into production and sound engineering, investing in his own studio to further develop innovative musical projects. Known for his precision, harmony, and commanding stage presence, Billy became one of the most trusted chorus vocalists in the genre.
